Introduction
Clare Hawthorne, Ed.S
Clare Hawthorne is a graduate student trainee at Madison Neuropsychological Services. She is completing her doctorate in School Psychology at The Chicago School and is a nationally certified school psychologist. In addition to her work at Madison Neuropsychological Services, Clare is a trainee in the Wisconsin Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities (WI LEND) program at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Before joining Madison Neuropsychological Services, Clare worked with children, adolescents, adults, and families in school, community mental health, and outpatient settings. Her experience spans psychological assessment, therapy, consultation, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Drawing on her neurodivergent identity, she brings a relational, neurodiversity-affirming approach to assessment, helping people make sense of their experiences and move toward more meaningful, authentic lives.
Outside of work, Clare loves traveling with her family, spending time in nature, and ending the day with a cup of tea and a few digestive biscuits. She is an avid reader and lifelong learner, often drawn to autobiographical stories about people who have found meaning in adversity and transformed it into compassion. These interests continue to shape how she shows up at work, with curiosity, humility, and an appreciation for resilience in its many forms.
